SMS Consent

SMS consent & review text messages

How we obtain your permission to send appointment-related text messages, including a one-time review request after your visit.

How consent works

Verbal consent at the end of your appointment

After we complete your notary, apostille, Live Scan, or related service, we may ask for your permission to send text messages related to your appointment. These messages can include a confirmation, reminder, and a one-time text message with a link to leave a Google review about your experience.

We will only send this review text message if you clearly agree to receive it. During your appointment, we use language substantially similar to the following:

Example:

“Before we finish, may we send you a one-time text message in about an hour with a link to leave a Google review about today’s notary/apostille service? Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP to opt out at any time and HELP for help. Do I have your permission to receive that one-time review text at this mobile number?”

If you say yes, we record that you provided consent (including date, time, and the mobile number you provided) and then send a single review request text message after your appointment is completed.

What you can expect to receive

If you consent, you will typically receive one text message within a few hours of your appointment. The message thanks you for choosing Mobile American Notary & Apostilles and includes a link to our Google review page so you can share feedback about your experience.

We do not use this consent to send ongoing marketing campaigns or recurring promotional texts. Any future marketing messages, if offered, would require separate and explicit permission.

Your choices and how to opt out

Providing consent is completely optional and not required to receive services. You may decline at any time during your appointment, and we will not send a review text message.

If you consent and then change your mind after receiving a message, you can reply STOP to stop receiving texts from that number, or reply HELP for additional information. Standard message and data rates may apply, depending on your wireless carrier and plan.
